Barry and Vale Harriers
First Step are currently working with Barry and Vale Harriers as well as the Vale of Glamorgan Sports development team, offering are athletics development experience.
The Harriers are based at Jenner Park in Barry. Their training nights are on monday and wednesdays from 6pm and are open to all.

Cardiff Community Games 2008
The first annual STAR Games took place in July at the STAR Leisure Centre in Splott, Cardiff.
It was an Inter-school athletics event, with each of the eight primary schools in the surrounding area [Splott, Tremorfa, Adamsdown and Roath] sending their year 5 pupils to the centre for half day sessions these included various athletics events as well as a Grand Prix relay Competition.
Times and distances were recorded with the top three boys and girls in each event receiving prizes at the presentation evening on the 18th July, attend by local councilors and our community sports ambassador Tim Abeyie.
